Employment Type: Full Time Monday thru Friday & some Saturday Mornings, 40 or more hours per week

Education: Degree in Business or Journalism preferred but not mandatory or Experience in Related Field
Experience: Prior experience in similar position preferred. Familiarity with "Smarts" traffic and billing system a plus. Entry level Candidates will be considered. Salary and benefits are negotiable based on qualifications and experience.
Job Description: This key position is responsible for processing advertising orders, computer data entry, and operation of our computerized Traffic System to generate the announcers official log of commercials, public service ads and program features. Applicant must be familiar with Microsoft Word and Excel and must be computer literate. The Traffic Manager works closely with our sales representatives, as well as our advertisers, in scheduling their broadcast orders. This person is also responsible for preparing reports and documentation to fulfill the legal record keeping requirements of the station. The accuracy of this position is essential for billing purposes and to insure that all ads get on the air as ordered. The Traffic Manager works closely with the Bookkeeper to prepare coop copy and accurate invoices and affidavits. The position also requires some transcribing, copy writing, and recording.
The traffic manager is also an essential public relations representative of the station, answering and efficiently handling phone calls, and greeting visitors as they enter our reception area. The person must be courteous and helpful on the phone and in person, answering questions that come up on a daily basis.
The reception area where the traffic manager works is also the entrance to our Polka Music Shop, so the Traffic manager is frequently called upon to assist our listeners / customers who are shopping for their favorite music.
The Traffic Manager position is a vital job, working with station management, staff, advertisers, and listeners, all of whom are vital to the success of WTKM Radio.
Requirements: Must have valid Wisconsin drivers license and have own transportation.
